Late last year Lifecard and Diabetes Victoria held a competition for the members of Diabetes Victoria. With hundred of entries there could only be one lucky winner.

Congratulations to Rachel, the winner of the Lifecard Personal Health Record App competition who has won a free 2-year subscription to the app. As a member of Diabetes Victoria since 2007, and living with diabetes for more than 15 years, Rachel can use Lifecard to manage her health records, documents, appointments, referrals and more, all from the palm of her hand.
“I have been using the Lifecard app for over a month now and find it fantastic. I can record all my measurements, medications and reminders – so when I went to the doctor it was all on my phone and he was impressed. It’s very easy to use as well. I was totally surprised that I actually won the competition, so thank you very much.
The best bit of advice I have been given about diabetes was when I was really having a hard time with my diabetes, and a diabetes educator said to me: ‘Don’t beat yourself up about it, Rachel, you are doing the best you can do – let’s start again from the beginning and work through it all.’ She re-educated and supported me. It was one of the turning points for me.”
Diabetes Victoria members can read more about Rachel’s story in the Autumn 2020 edition of Circle magazine.
